Hotel guests are still welcome at Hotel ARA! During your stay we are happy to serve an extensive breakfast buffet, à la carte lunch and à la carte dinner in our restaurant. Given the tightened measures, we are unfortunately not allowed to receive guests from outside until at least 11 November. On this page we would like to inform you further about our working methods. Eat & Drink 

Hotel guests are still welcome in our restaurant

• As a hotel guest you can still enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet, delicious à la carte lunch and tasty à la carte dinner in our restaurant.
• Our bar is open daily for hotel guests until 10 pm
• Our food and beverage outlets must close at 10 PM. We kindly ask you to take this measure into account.
• Our table layouts have been adapted to guarantee the 1.5 meter measures and of course we follow the guidelines of the RIVM.
• We follow the urgent advice to wear face masks in all public areas. Our employees wear mouth masks and urge our guests to follow this advice.
• We ask you to wait 1.5 meters apart until our hostess or hostess shows you a table.
• We ask you to disinfect your hands upon arrival.
• We ask you to keep 1.5 meters away from our guests and employees during your visit.
• We ask you to follow the indicated walking routes.



Meetings & gatherings

We are happy to facilitate your meeting or gathering for up to 30 people!

• We serve a working lunch in the (meeting) room to guarantee the maximum number of 30 people per room.

Hotel Facilities

Our hotel facilities are open to hotel guests!

• In connection with possible source and contact research, we are obliged to ask a number of questions to all our guests. Due to the number of questions we have to ask, it may take longer to check in than you are used to. We kindly ask for your understanding.
• Hotel guests are welcome in our restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our cafe is open all day. • We reserve a time in advance to spread the number of guests during the breakfast buffet. This allows us to limit crowds at the buffet and we give our guests ample opportunity to distance themselves from each other and our employees. During check-in, our reception staff will reserve this time for breakfast in consultation with you.
• Our fitness room and wellness area are open to hotel guests.
• We follow the urgent advice to wear face masks in all public areas. Our employees wear mouth masks and urge our guests to follow this advice.


Safe and comfortable

At Van der Valk, the health, safety and well-being of our guests and employees has the highest priority. In order to guarantee your health and safety, we would like to ask you to observe the following policy during your visit to our hotel:

  • Follow indicated walking direction and hygiene measures
  • Keep 1.5 meters distance from other guests and employees
  • Do not shake hands with fellow guests or hotel staff
  • Wash your hands regularly and in accordance with RIVM guidelines
  • Use paper towels to dry your hands
  • Cough and sneeze in your elbow and turn away from fellow guests and hotel staff
  • Preferably pay with pin or contactless

Do you have symptons of a cold, such as a runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, mild cough or increase to 38 degrees Celsius? Then we ask you to stay at home and not to come to the hotel.

Frequently asked questions

Can Van der Valk be open as a hotel and restaurant?
Yes, according to government guidelines it is allowed to be open as a hotel. Food and beverage outlets in the restaurant for our hotel guests may be open. The à la carte restaurant is open but the Live Cooking buffet restaurant is closed to ensure your health.

Is visiting a Van der Valk hotel safe?
Van der Valk takes your health and that of the employees very seriously. We have tightened measures within the hotel so that this can be guaranteed. All Van der Valk hotels are furnished according to the guidelines of the RIVM. As a hotel, we do everything we can to keep risks to a minimum.

As a hotel guest, can I use the restaurant facilities?
Yes, as a hotel guest you can use the restaurant. We use stricter measures here to make your visit to our restaurant as safe as possible. The à la carte restaurant is open but the Live Cooking buffet restaurant is closed to ensure your health.

Is it possible to order room service?
Yes, you can order room service from your hotel room via reception. There is an adapted menu for this that you will find in your hotel room. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner brought to your hotel room.

What facilities are open in the hotel?
All facilities are open except the wellness and gym

Is it possible to use facilities such as renting an (electric) bicycle at the hotel?
It is possible to rent an (electronic) bicycle.

Can I cancel or change my booking?
This is possible according to the conditions in the confirmation email of your booking.

Can I change my booking on the day of arrival if I have a cold or cough?
That is possible. The booking can only be changed once.
