Eurovision Songcontest 2020 | Rotterdam
On May 19, 2019, Duncan Lauwrence has won the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 for the Netherlands for the first time since 1975. With the beautiful song '' Arcade ", he has ensured that the Netherlands can organize this musical festival in 2020. And all this takes place at the Ahoy sports palace in the beautiful city of Rotterdam.
Rotterdam has 634,660 inhabitants and is the largest port city in Europe; 469 million tons of goods that were transferred in 2018. South Holland, the province in which Rotterdam is located, is the most multicultural region in the Netherlands. The city itself is home to 174 nationalities and all participating countries of the Eurovision Song Contest are represented in the local population. Rotterdam is also an architectural city.
In the city center, which was largely destroyed in 1940, you will find a variety of building styles: icons of the new building stand next to the reconstruction architecture from the sixties, seventies and eighties. The last large architectural building is the Markthal, but also the "Rotterdam", the Erasmus Bridge (both Rem Koolhaas) and the Euromast are fixed itens in the typical skyline of the city.
There will be tickets for the nine shows: six rehearsals, two semi-finals and the final on 16 May 2020. The tickets will be available at the end of this year or early next year.
During the event you can of course stay at Valk der Valk Hotel ARA which is only 10 minutes away from Sportpaleis Ahoy. Make sure you have a room and book today! If you do not find availability in the desired period, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
